Is Porn Adultrery?

Taking a break from the non-bailout ... Ross Douthat in The Atlantic has pretty coherent piece on the implications of pornography on relationships, morals, and society. I will note one thing: he mentions Catharine MacKinnon and Andrea Dworkin in passing but doesn't really address their argument (and even sort of throws them in with the fringe (which I guess by definition, they are)) ... that is that we should challenge the male-centered view of ... well, everything. Douthat's article doesn't explore this tension, but it's all there - the fact that "men have an insatiable libido and need an outlet" - but at the same time some porn may "devalue women or cause suffered relationships."

Just think - as you read - whether your opinion differs based on which gender you consider the baseline for the argument.
