As I Suspected

As far as I can tell the new plan is the exact same as the "broad outlines" agreed on last week before McCain screwed it all up. It sounds like they added in all the progressive measures - and now the House Republican Conference (led by Cantor) are behind it. So why did it take so long? Did McCain throw a monkey wrench in it all? I didn't see him at the conference mtg today trying to fix it!

Can anyone show me how this new bill is different? Or what the GOP got in return for their support?
