Noonan Confronts the Nat'l Review
MUST READ: NRO finally gets to pick a bone with Peggy Noonan ... and she responds beautifully. She is so smart and so well spoken. I always enjoy reading her thoughts. She's backing up her break from Bush and her criticism of McCain, but it sounds like she'll still vote for him? (3 decisive reasons?). Also, when people talk about conservative it all sounds good in theory ... but then I lose it when they get to the specifics of what "saving" our country in the next 20 years looks lik.

I'm pretty sure this is similar to what the Ayatollah think. Why aren't we just a theocracy then.
People who buy condoms know responsibility. This idea that we all deserve to live is b.s. Listen to ol' Bill Muny, "Deserves got nothing to do with it." Until humans developed surpluses of food, societies practiced infanticide and birth control to manage the population against availabe resources.
What I see is a progressive movement. Allow people their "individual rights" which could mean you can have a gun but can choose if you want an abortion.
