Since its all energy all the time right now, I thought I would post some on the "alternative energy guy" buying all the TV spots. His name is T Boone Pickens and he has an ambitious plan to shift to wind and natural gas while we develop more permanent fuel strategies. His presentation has a little H. Ross Perot flavor to it...
Im not sure if this guy is legit yet (the enviros seem to be skeptical about his motives). But, If this guy has a good idea and is willing to throw some of his cash/prestige at the problem, who the hell cares?

If Obama is fully a member of any club — and perhaps he isn’t — it is the club of smart post-boomer meritocrats. We now have a cohort of rising leaders, Obama’s age and younger, who climbed quickly through elite schools and now ascend from job to job. They are conscientious and idealistic while also being coldly clever and self-aware. It’s not clear what the rest of America makes of them.
