Mr. Pulitzer

Woodward's new book is being previewed in the Post (he was also on 60min today). It's about the internal workings behind the surge. How does this guy get so much access? With his 4(?) books about the Bush years, he's practically the definitive voice on what has happened inside the administration. One thing about Part I that struck me was that the NSA actually did its job. When Bush was frustrated, and the Generals and Civilians weren't performing as W thought they should - he charged his NSA with fixing it. And they did.

Too bad the NSA wouldn't have done a better job before the war.

Update: Here's Part 2.
