I Know Fox Doesn't Self-Censor

(via VH1) We all know that I love Chris Matthews. And we all know that Olbermann is the Left's answer to O'Reilly. Unfortunately, because Keith was MSNBC's new golden boy he got paired with Chris to anchor all the primaries and conventions. As a consequence, Keith got even more bold with his opinions - even more openly disgusted with the Republicans - and is now getting demoted. MSNBC just announced that Olbermann and Matthews won't anchor anymore ... they'll now offer the "opinions." David Gregory will take over the #1 spot.

I know Keith is bias. I know Chris has his opinions. But Chris is less sarcastic and open about it. Also, although Keith can be over the top - but I do tend to agree with him - and he usually calls Republicans on their BS. I understand the need to show "objectivity" ... and you don't want to stoop to Fox's level. The problem is, Fox wins b/c it gets to pretend to give "objective" reporting, and then throws it to the analysts to reinforce their bad coverage.

UPDATE: To put it on the record, I've always thought David Gregory would be the pick to take over Meet the Press. Maybe this will be his tryout. Also, if it's not Gregory, I'd pick Chuck Todd.

UPDATE: Yglesias makes a good point that MSNBC is necessarily ratcheted back because of its connection to NBC, Brokaw, Meet the Press, etc. which can't be tainted by a "progressive" label.
